What is RSS? One of the biggest shifts in communications since the Web is Syndication feeds. They have become a standard tool on the Web. But when you enter the world of syndicated content, you're often faced with the question of what is the "proper" way to do syndication. RSS is a format for syndicating news and the content of news-like sites, including major news sites, news-oriented community sites, and personal blogs.
But it's not just for news. We’re talking about Audio, Video and Text. Pretty much anything that can be broken down into discrete items can be syndicated via RSS.
Once information about each item is in RSS format, an RSS-aware program can check the feed for changes and react to the changes in an appropriate way. RSS-enabled sites provide RSS feeds that list article headlines, summaries and links back to the latest full-text articles on the web. RSS is an acronym for Really Simple Syndication and Rich Site Summary.
Webmasters create an RSS file containing headlines and descriptions of specific information.
While the majority of RSS feeds currently contain news headlines or breaking information the long term uses of RSS are broad. We are using RSS for things such as Vintage Releases, Tasting Notes, Press Reviews and Pod casts. How do I get a news reader? There is a range of news readers available. Different news readers work on different operating systems, so you will need to choose one that will work on your computer. Hill-Smith Estate has a fresh new look. 7 December 2011 Hill-Smith Estate wines have been repackaged in a fresh and stylish new look. The distinctive label, featuring an original painting of the vineyard by Wyndham Hill-Smith O.B.E., combines the tradition at the heart of South Australia’s Hill-Smith family with the contemporary styling befitting a modern classic.
Joining our Sauvignon Blanc is the just released 2010 Hill-Smith Estate Chardonnay. Fine Eden Valley Chardonnay fruit in combination with the use of natural indigenous yeast fermentation and 11 months in fine grained French oak barriques has produced a complex and elegant wine with rich creamy flavours and tangy acidity.
